Convention Consultants was founded in 1978 by Mary Ann Smith, a trailblazer in Savannah’s hospitality industry. With a passion for showcasing her hometown, she built the first full-service destination management enterprise designed to assist meeting and event planners in creating seamless, memorable experiences. Her commitment to exceptional service and true Southern hospitality quickly made Convention Consultants a trusted name in event planning.

In 1995, her daughter, DeAnne, joined the business, bringing her natural ability to curate unforgettable experiences for visitors. As a lifelong Savannah resident and intuitive business developer, DeAnne expanded the company’s offerings, ensuring each client receives a customized and immersive experience.
