Keep on Truckin’

Savannah’s food truck park is the perfect place to spend your spring

Food truck season is officially in full swing and the promise of sunnier weather is on the horizon. Savannah’s selection of on the move eateries continues to grow in size and ensures everyone can find something tasty to snack on.

While it can be gratifying to spontaneously stumble upon one or hunt down a favorite, designated food truck watering holes have been popping-up around town. Known as food truck parks or courts, these locations offer a rotating selection of vendors in an outside setting often paired with live music, drinks and good company.

Starland Yard has quickly become a favorite amongst locals since it’s opening in 2019. Fancying itself, “Savannah’s backyard,” this spacious food truck park has different vendors and entertainment each week. “You can come Tuesday through Sunday and have a completely different experience every night,” said Starland Yard manager Ava Pandiani. Pizzeria Vittoria and renowned chef Kyle Jacovino keep a permanent residency at the park and Pandiani says their neapolitan pies and consistent excellence are the cornerstone of Starland Yard’s success.
